Horse Boarding, Events, Clinics and Fun

Whats Up Lately?

Wow, have we ever been busy! Trick riding blew us away with some of their amazing tricks. Everyone that participated did such an amazing job! Check out some of the cool videos on our Facebook page! We rocked out some hardcore Dressage lessons yesterday and the day before that we hosted our annual tack sale. We also hung out with 6 very cool kids for a week long youth horse camp (so.much.glitter.).

We have some fun stuff in the works for this spring (yes, it may be a snow storm today in the middle of April but have hope Michigan people!). Horse yoga is next month. Yes, you can do yoga on your horse!! Don’t have a horse? Message us, we have a few 😉

Brain and Will are coming out in June (if you barrel race in MI then you probably know that name!) so register now for the clinic. It is already filling up!

We have a fuzzy show at the end of this month and this time we are allowing pre-registration. So sign up now for your classes!!

Jumping Jackpot Schooling show is April 14th. It will be a fun, laid back show where you can jump for some $$$. Then the very next day you can come ride in our fun show! Some of those classes are more for the staff’s enjoyment of watching you guys try the crazy things we come up with 😛

April 28th you can make some $$ in our jackpot speed show. You get money back for more than just barrels!

The 29th isn’t as exciting because it’s SPRING CLEANING DAY. But if you help we might buy you lunch and let you play with ponies. Plus we are pretty amusing to be around, so its like a running comedy show. At least we think we are.

So much fun coming and we have only started scheduling it! Stay tuned for more and come out and join us!!!

Did You See Us?

GEC sponsored the Michigan State University rodeo this year! Did you see our banner? Did you come watch or did you ride? We were also proud to sponsor Tucker Alberts this year, who did amazing as always!!!

Have an extra horse? Donate it to the Pennsylvania State Police!

“HERSHEY (AP) — The Pennsylvania State Police are asking for donated horses to join a Hershey-based mounted patrol unit.

The agency on Wednesday issued a call for geldings between 5 and 15 years old. Officials say draft horses or draft-crosses are preferable.

The 26-horse unit performs searches, crowd control, security and patrols, as well as participates in parades and similar events.”

Trick Riding in the Future

Hello! GEC was offered the opportunity to host a trick riding clinic. It will be a 2 day event for about 6 hours each day with a lunch break. You do not need your own horse unless you would like to bring it. They provide trained horses and tack for the sport! The fee will be around $300 and there is a maximum of 12 participants. If you would be interested, please let us know as soon as possible so we can get it scheduled!

Discount for new boarders.

Indoor Boarding Available

We are currently accepting indoor boarders with daily turn-out.

We have a heated observation room, two indoor bathrooms, and a kitchen. The indoor arena is 120 X 80 feet. Stalls are 10X12 and are matted. Our facility uses a small pine shaving bedding in the stalls and maintains a two bag level. Our outdoor arena is brand new measuring at 100 x 200! There is a full limestone base and drainage system  to maximize correct footing

Punk Horse Training has recently partnered with AMD Equestrian to increase the number of stalls available for indoor board. With all of the events and access we have to different trainers our stalls don’t usually last long. Contact Vanessa with Punk Horse Training at 248-459-5515 or Alexis with AMD Equestrian at 810-429-6952 to discuss our current and future boarding options.
